You might know a domain name simply as the Web address or
“.COM.” When someone types a domain name into a Web browser, the requested Web
page opens. For example, the domain name www.yourpersonaldomainname.com locates
an Internet address for “yourpersonaldomainname.com.”
A Top-Level Domain (TLD) is the part of the domain name located
to the right of the dot (“.”). The most common TLD in use today is .COM,
closely followed by .NET and .ORG. There are several other popular top-level
domains, including .BIZ, .INFO, .NAME, .WS and .MOBI.
Top-level domains have certain guidelines attached, but are
generally available to any registrant, anywhere in the world. Exceptions are
restricted TLDs (rTLDs)— which include .BIZ and .NAME—that require the
registrant to represent a certain type of entity, or to belong to a certain
community. For example, the .NAME TLD is available strictly to individuals.
A top-level domain can also be of geographic significance and
only available to registrants in the locale defined by the TLD. These are
called country-code TLDs (ccTLDs) and include such top-level domains as .US
(United States), .EU (Europe), .TV (Tuvalu), .CC (Cocos Islands), .DE (Germany),
.JP (Japan), .BE (Belgium), .UK (United Kingdom), .NZ (New Zealand) and .CN
(China).
Tip: If the .COM you want to register is already taken, you can
check to see if it’s available with an alternate TLD. You may also want to
consider registering all or some of the more common TLDs of the same domain
name in order to protect your brand, your site or yourself from someone else
with your brand or name in mind.
To find out which TLDs we currently offer, or for more
information on registering domain names, please visit our Web site at www.1websitesolution.com. Visit today and you can get a 1-year, new domain name,

High-priced registrars like Network Solutions® and
Register.com try to maintain their business on a flimsy foundation: the
lingering misconception that you have to pay $30-35 to register your domain
name with a quality outfit. This simply is not true.
Every day, thousands of sensible, informed buyers—individuals,
families, businesses small and large and speculators—come to One Website
Solution for low prices and premium value. In fact, a new domain name is
registered with One Website Solution every 1.3 seconds.
One Website Solution is an ICANN-accredited registrar for .COM,
.NET, .ORG, .INFO, .BIZ and .US domain names.

Simply follow these five easy steps:
Step 1: Check Domain Name Availability
See if the
name you want is taken, and what your options are if it is.
Step 2: Select Length of Your Registration
Register
your domain from one year up to 10.
Step 3: Create Your Contact Information
Important
when the time comes to renew your domain name.
Step 4: Select From Hosting Options
To put your
domain name on the Internet, you first need a host.
Step 5: Confirm Your Registration Details
Once you complete registration, how you use
your new domain name is up to you. Here are a few of the most common options:
·
Get a personalized email address. An
email account can be a great way to put your domain to use, and gives you a
personalized address that friends, family and business contacts will easily
remember and associate directly with you.
·
Put your Web site on the Internet. If
your site design is complete, you will need to acquire a hosting account to
upload your site on the Internet. If you have not built your Web site, there
are several easy and affordable options for you to quickly put together a
professional, quality site (see Section 2—Building a Web Site).
·
Launch your own blog. Establish your online
presence without a traditional Web by creating your own blog. All One Website
Solution domain names come with free, easy-to use blogging tools to let you
take advantage of this popular format, without additional software or
experience.
·
Forward domain names that are similar to your primary domain
name. The more domain names you register, the better. You’ll prevent
others from registering a similar domain name to yours. What to do with all
these names? Forward them to your main domain name!
·
Turn your parked domain into cash! It’s
easy with our Parking Service Partners. Whether you have one domain or a
growing portfolio, parking can turn those domains into a cash generator! Each
time someone clicks on advertising that generates revenue on your parked pages,
you share in the revenue.
·
Wait. Maybe you haven’t decided what to do with your new domain name.
There’s no rush. You can leave it parked with One Website Solution for the
length of your registration.
Search and register your domain name by visiting www.1websitesolution.com.
You may transfer your domain name from your current registrar to
One Website Solution at any time (within the restrictions set by ICANN® and
your current registrar).
Note:
ICANN regulations prohibit transferring a domain name that has been registered
or transferred within the last 60 days.
One Website Solution offers a fast, automated, risk-free domain
transfer thanks to an innovative Rapid Transfer System™ that spares you steps and
saves you time (transfers are often completed in five days or less, but may
take up to seven days to complete).
There is also a professional Transfer Concierge available to
assist you personally, 24/7, in the transfer process. Best of all, any time
remaining on your existing registration transfers with your domain, plus you
receive a FREE one-year extension.

Domain name transfers may only be initiated once acceptance of the
transfer agreement is recorded, payment is made, and the administrative contact
has responded positively giving permission to transfer the domain name. Your
transfer is risk-free. If it fails to go through for any reason at all, One
Website Solution will refund your fee, no questions asked.
Follow these easy steps to ensure a smooth and timely transfer:
Step 1: Purchase a transfer from our Web site by
visiting www.1websitesolution.com.
Step 2: Advise the administrative contact of your
domain that the name is being transferred. One Website Solution will email your
administrative contact by the next business day to request transfer approval.
Step 3: When this acceptance is received, One
Website Solution will send a transfer request to the Registry and then the
Registry will email your current registrar.
Step 4: Most likely, your current registrar will
send your administrative contact an email asking for your approval of the
transfer to One Website Solution. Please respond as directed.
Step 5: Your current registrar will send an
acceptance or rejection notice to the Registry and the Registry will email One
Website Solution a notice of the acceptance or rejection.
